Second School Shooting Threat at Redwood

Students at Redwood High School reported graffiti that threatened a school shooting on Tuesday, October 31. This is the second school shooting threat at Redwood this month.

According to an email sent out today by Principal David Sondheim, this threat will affect Redwoods’s Halloween plans. “In an effort to ensure the safety of all and to minimize any potential confusion that may arise, students will not be allowed to wear Halloween costumes on campus tomorrow,” he said. “While we know this will result in some disappointment, we feel strongly that it is necessary for everyone’s safety and will consider rescheduling the costume contest to another date.”

The email also emphasized that though Redwood will be in session tomorrow, measures will be taken by the administration and the Central Marin Police Department to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

Freshman Bodhi Sellers was upset by the threat. “It’s funny that students think that making a threat will get school out, in fact all they did was make it worse,” he said.
