Math teacher Melissa Newcomb was hired as an Algebra and Geometry teacher for the Tam math department for the 2014-15 school year. Newcomb previously taught at Jesse Bethel School in Vallejo for eight years. “I taught at Bethel for eight years, it was time for me to try something different,” Newcomb said.

Newcomb chose Tam because of her appreciation for the surrounding area. “I love this area, I love Marin County and Sonoma County,” said Newcomb. “I was ready for a change.”

Newcomb has taught all the subjects she currently teaches before. “My main goal is for all students to be successful in math,” she said.
