The first of Tamalpais High School’s two annual blood drives took place Monday, November 28th. They reached their initial goal of 55 to 58 pints of blood and there were barely any student’s turned away for donation. Arya Guinney, a senior in charge of the event, expressed her excitement in garnering so many students. “We generally have less students in the winter because less sophomores are eligible, plus it was the day after Thanksgiving break. But it was probably the most successful blood drive out of the seven I worked,” she said. Guinney and other students are very much looking forward to the second event taking place in spring of 2017.
