On Oct. 24, a Mill Valley planning commission approved a proposal from Treehouse MV to convert a historic building at 60 Throckmorton Ave into a private club.
The building was formerly a Bank of America that was established in the Mill Valley community since 1912.
According to the City of Mill Valley website, “The building would be renovated to support a restaurant and bar on the first floor, meeting spaces on the mezzanine floor, and a deck with seating on the roof.”
Additionally, according to the City of Mill Valley website, the new building would be used as, “a membership-based restaurant, bar and community meeting and event space.”
Although the proposal was approved by the Planning Commission, there were new conditions included regarding the membership model as well as the Corte Madera Ave building facade.
