Across the street from Old Mill School, a new addition to the Mill Valley community is underway. Several new buildings, nicknamed the Old Mill Cottages, will provide three 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath homes, and one 1 bedroom and 1 bath gate house.

The homes are located right next to Old Mill Park and just a couple of blocks from the Depot, a nice transition from dense redwood forest to town.

In attempt to model the shingle style of early Bay Area homes, the homes are to be finished off with natural wood finishes and simple details. With foundation complete and framing and mechanicals already underway, the new homes will also incorporate several green initiatives, such as locally sourced materials and labor, and environmentally conscious water conservation techniques.
