As the latest in its First Thursday lecture and event series, the Mill Valley Public Library will be hosting filmmaker Dan Bruun in the Creekside Room on February 7.
Bruun’s acclaimed films and music videos focus on unexplored culture and music scenes around the world. At the event exclusively for high school students, Bruun will share stories and video clips from his travels. The filmmaker hopes to inspire students to look creatively at the world around them. “You may think that where you live doesn’t matter or isn’t interesting, but whether you live in a big city or a small town there are great stories,” said Bruun. “If you can find and tell that great story it will be relevant anywhere. At the First Thursday, we will be exploring how to find and capture those stories.”
Students are encouraged to register for the event here.
