Tamalpais High School is set to break new ground with the introduction of Advanced Placement (AP) African American Studies for the 2024-2025 school year, marking its debut nationwide after a successful pilot program. Under the guidance of seasoned teacher Jennifer Dolan, the course promises a rich exploration of African American history and culture, focusing on resilience and joy while challenging conventional narratives often overlooked in traditional curriculum.

Golden Gate Village (GGV) is the oldest and largest public housing complex in Marin County. Recognizable by its sprawling red-roofed buildings, the Golden Gate Village makes up a large part of Marin City. It houses over 700 low-income, predominately Black residents, some of them having resided there for multiple generations.
