Now entering the first year of his teaching career, Nate Bernstein was hired as a Social Issues teacher, teaching freshman. Bernstein attended Sonoma State for his undergrad and his teaching credential. Growing up in Pasadena, California, came to Tam because of the variety of courses offered in the Social Studies department.
“I am not from Marin County. I asked a lot of people about Tam, and everyone I talked to told me how lucky I was to get an offer from Tam because of how amazing the students are and how well supported the teachers are. Most people said I would be crazy to even consider another school,” said Bernstein.
Having worked as a Residential Director in the dorms of Sonoma State this past year, he gained a large set of skills to help students resolve problems.
“This experience with college freshmen, is something I believe will help me in work with Tam High students. I really look forward to my interactions with all students, as I have seen already seen some brilliant minds at Tam and I look forward to learning a little something from everyone,” said Bernstein.
