A Redwood High school student was falsely reported to be carrying a firearm on campus on Thursday, January 19. According to an email sent by Redwood’s principal David Sondheim, The Central Marin Police Authority was contacted promptly. The police investigation concluded that the student had been in possession of an “Airsoft” gun, a toy replica, and it was no longer on campus by the end of the day.
“This incident is a reminder of how important it is to report suspicious activity to school staff immediately. School safety is our number one priority at Redwood and we must all work together to continue to keep Redwood one of the safest schools in California and the nation,” Sondheim said in the email.
