This month, The Tam News features the artwork of junior Natalie Nong. As inspiration for her work, Nong draws from various emotions and ideas she has encountered while moving through the world. Among others, in this particular collection, Nong captures her personal encounters with mental health and racism during the pandemic.

Above Water, August 17, 2020, made using the digital programs Krita and Sketchbook "This was a piece I made to express my experience with mental illness," Nong said.
