The 2013 Winter One Acts presented by the Conservatory Theater Ensemble (CTE) ran from January 16 to February 2. The One Acts are a festival of Advanced Drama student-directed and acted short plays.
Cast members were freshmen and sophomores in beginning level Drama classes, while directors were Advanced Drama upperclassmen. “The One Acts are going great so far. The directors’ feelings vary; some are excited, some are anxious, depending on how prepared the cast is. Overall it is a great feeling though, especially since this is something that we’ve been working on for a long time,” student director and Advanced Drama junior Monica Bi said.
The students prepared for their performances for approximately two months.
“It’s hard work but it’s worth it,” CTE student and sophomore Lily Taft said. “Performing is a rush; it’s like a natural high.”
