Tamalpais High School announced its new principal for fall 2023, Kimberly Clissold, ED.d., following the departure of former Principal JC Farr, ED.d.

Growing up in O’ahu, Clissord received her undergraduate and master’s degrees at Chamainade University in Honolulu, and earned her doctorate in Educational Policy Studies from the Univeristy of Hawai’i at Monoa.

For the past ten years, she has worked in the Santa Rosa City School District, occupying an array of positions, according to a press release on June 6 from Tamalpais Union High School District Superintendent Tara Taupier. She was, most recently, the principal of Santa Rosa High School. She also served as vice principal, summer school co-principal, and has been a social studies teacher and department chair, and was adjunct professor of history at Chaminade University.

“With her comprehensive understanding of education, extensive administrative expertise, and dedication to student welfare, Dr. Clissold is eager to contribute her skills, experience, and aloha for education to Tamalpais High School,” Taupier stated in the release.

Clissold will assume the position of principal pending board approval on June 13, 2023.
