Mill Valley will be hosting its annual holiday Winterfest on Dec. 3 from 5-6 p.m. The lively winter-themed festival will take place downtown at the Mill Valley Depot.
Mill Valley has been putting on Winterfest since 1995 as a way to bring the Mill Valley community together and celebrate during the holiday season. According to the Enjoy Mill Valley website, this year’s festival will consist of many performances from local groups.
Middle and high school dancers from Mill Valley’s Happy Feet dance school are making an appearance along with young singers from the Marin Girls Chorus. Additionally, members of the Tamalpais High School Holiday Ensemble will be performing. The combination of singing, dancing, and holiday festivities make Winterfest a beloved event by the community.
In a special addition, this year Winterfest will consist of two days of festivities. According to the Enjoy Marin website, there will be a second day of Winterfest on Dec. 17 from 12-4 p.m. at the Mill Valley Community Center. This section of the event will be similar to the first day of Winterfest with performances from many local dance studios and performance groups as well as games and even a jumpy house for kids.
These activities will be supported by an array of local businesses, restaurants, and organizations making the event an all-around showstopper. Both events are produced by Organized Chaos Events.
