Seniors who drive to school were surprised to learn that for the 2012-13 school year, the carpool requirement that limited access to the back parking lot (BPL) in years past has been revised by the administration.
“In a nutshell, all seniors who fill out parking permit forms are issued permits. Parking is on a first come, first serve basis. We do not prioritize for carpools,” said Assistant Principal Kim Stiffler.
Senior Milan Greene disagreed with the decision of the administrators. “I think it’s a bad thing, because now people are coming in alone, whenever they want, and wasting gas.” Students need only apply for a parking permit at the Assistant Principal’s office and place their placard in their vehicle to park in the back lot.
