TUHSD Board Mandates Staff Layoffs, Purchase of Lockable Phone Cases

As TUHSD faces a growing budget deficit and lays off 17 employees, the district is also moving forward with a $112,000 purchase of lockable phone cases for students next school year. During a tense May 5 board meeting, trustees clashed over whether the district could afford the new policy — or afford to wait any longer to enforce it.

Tam boys lax completes another winning season; top seed in league play

The Tam boys lacrosse team finished their 2026 campaign with a successful 12-9 record and a 7-1 record in league play. The Hawks earned the top MCAL seed and a first round bye in the playoffs. While the lost the MCAL championship and fell in the second round of the NCS playoffs, nine players earned MCAl all-league honors.
