Tamalpais Union High School District schools closed on Friday, March 13. They will reopen on Monday, April 13, if the closure is not extended due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.

With this closure, sports, including sports practices, and other extracurriculars have been immediately postponed until school is reopened. Any away games at schools that are still in session are also canceled. Rescheduling of these missed games will be handled on a case-by-case basis, according to an email sent out by the school district on March 12.

Tam athletic director Christina Amoroso said via email, “We are in a holding period right now with all athletic contests, practices, and facilities closed through [the school closure],” adding that the MCAL athletic directors will meet virtually during the week of March 23 to determine next steps for the league. Amoroso also noted that the California Interscholastic Federation(CIF) will be meeting soon with section commissioners and CIF State Office staff to determine the future of spring sports post season events.
